The Old Man

Location

I've never liked change too much

Change brings risk

Risk brands possibility

Possibility boils expectation

Expectation breeds disappointment

I've never liked change too much

The only things worth altering have past

Future and present are in flux

The past is set and stiff

Friends turned into soldiers

Parents turned into diseases

Brothers turned into addicts

My response was...

I've never liked change too much

But oh, my groan-inducing past

Alteration for my love (or lack of)

Revolution for my solitude

Hindsight proves to be a keen eye

To use it's discretion is more desirable than life
