Soldiers overseas fighting for our 'delights'
Aliens bathing in citizens' rights.
No food on our table
Thanks to our taxes to support them
Even though they're more than able.

No tools to defend ourselves
Due to others' mistakes
If faced with death, or worse
The stakes, against us, would be turned.

Money circulates to run the 'economy'
But is forced out of citizens' hands
To meet the capitalistic demands.

Life is no longer sacred
Liberty is offered,
but with chains of judgement.
The pursuit of happiness
is distorted by materialism.
And justice is corrupted by ulterior motives

So, are we even yet civil
Possessing undisputed rights?
