Our Lovely Love

Everyone will tell you life is short.

Prancing in the yard,

Our children cavort.

Though work is hard

And life seems mundane,

We work together

For our love to remain.

It will not wither.

Love is not about flowers

Or lavish gifts.

It's about the hours

spent in each other's menace.

Love is caring.

Love is reliable.

It is never overbaring.

Lovers are compliable.

True love never dies,

And is everlasting.

Lovers don't tell lies

Or provide false forecasting.

Love is warm.

In the stomach,

Butterflies sworm.

You see my dear,

Love is caring for someone

Year after year.

I feels as if I struck gold

When I met look into her eyes.

I've been love with her on day one.

This is no lie.
