Outcast

I see them together.
My heart, a weight;
Gravity, a thousand times stronger,
pulling me down.

With every step I take,
I strain to hold the dam.
Salty waters,
The pressure of amassing pain.

A wound in my side,
Stabbed by their rejection,
I retreat,
Haunted, never to return.

I retreat,
Alone, unhappy, forever.
