Pain But No Tears

The rich becomes richer
The poor becomes poorer.
Hope is not given to the hopeless nor to the homeless.
They overlook me
My presence, everything of me.
The way I break bread with my head,
Trying to keep my mind fed.

Destiny?
Look at me,
this isn't the way it's supposed to be,
Where's my fairy tale where it all ends happily?
All I have right now is two shoes
and no path to walk.

The farther away the sky seems to be,
It's taunting me, with a dire wanting,
I know life isn’t free.
I can break down, emotionally, mentally, or physically,
But you know what?
I can but I know that there’s pain, but no tears...
