Past

I lost my life to a familiar face,

He went by the name, Past.

He shot me down with bitter memories.

He poisoned me with lies.

He hung me by my childhood mistakes.

He looked me in the eyes,

And whispered three words.

“See you soon.”

Now, I greet Past as a normality.

For what I was,

I still am.

Perhaps,

I have become Past myself.

See you soon.
