We are the Quiet Cattle
Always in some insignificant, internal battle.
Distracted, we let them hop right in the saddle,
Cast away when we try to tattle.
They’ve given us their sickness,
Everything is now merely business.
We’ll take out a loan for a cave,
Before they’ll allow us donate to those who need saved!
Cattle aren’t collateral…
But this is not abnormal
Quite the contrary it’s admirable!

We are the Quiet Cattle.
We’ll believe false prophets,
Who are in it solely for power and profits.
We’ll dwell in misery,
Never considering altering reality,
Working towards death,
Giving them our every breath
Told we are helping each other,
A half-truth,
Not even every other!
We poison our home,
And they don’t quite realize…
We shall fall just like Rome.

We are the Quiet Cattle
Suffering in our incessant greed
On this they feed!
Their hunger: insatiable
Their need: insensible
Our ignorance: Immeasurable
Their crimes: irreconcilable
Their time: infinitesimal!

They made a product
And we bought it
They told us a lie
And we taught it
They gave us a dream
And we sought it
They had a disease
And we caught it
They went to war
And we fought it
Blinded by our pride,
That thing they use to hide,
They’ve milked us
And we’ve never even thought it…

They told you and me
That we are free,
Yet they keep us out of touch with reality
Why talk about the truth?
We have celebrities…

The one thing that will never be said:
(Surprisingly we are not brain-dead)
“No institution,
Can infringe upon our volition
To make a benevolent transition.”

We are the quiet cattle,
But we don't have to be...
