Race

I don’t mean to discredit them
We give credit where credit is due
But there is much more to do
This is not just a race
This is a relay

Parks rode through Montgomery
And handed the baton to MLK
MLK walked through the courtroom
And handed the baton to Marshall
From Marshall to Du Bois
Du Bois to Booker T.

The relay is not over
The hands of many strong
Courageous and passionate individuals
Reach out to you
The finish line is far ahead
Take the baton
It’s your turn.
