Rapunzel

Rapunzel,

Let down your hair

Allow your locks to flow free,

As your curls cascade down the tower

Your follicles fall gracefully,

As your anticipation rises

You're ready

Ready to take on the world

Ready to shine your light that has been hidden for far too long

You take a chance

Today is the day

Your hands shake as your hair leaves the window ledge

Falling… falling… falling…

Ever so gently through the air

Confined for years on end

You’ve been dreaming about this moment

Freedom
