Respect me

I am a girl respect me,

Society thinks they can knock me but little do they know i'm stronger

than the words they try to throw at me.

I'm not an object I am human, those two things are different if you ask me.

I am a girl respect me,

If i walk in the streets do not whistle at me, do not tell me

"hey sexy", "damn girl you look good".

If i say no that means no, NO you may not get me a drink i can get it myself.

Do not think you can take control of me, my words will speak loud and clear.

My pride is willing to fight.

Its my body my choice. To express myself.

Its my choice to get a tattoo, show my skin, and to abort or keep a baby. Its mine.

My body is a work of art, took 9 months to create

to create my heart that i love with

to create my brain that i think with

to create my lungs that i breathe with

to create my eyes that i see the truth with

to create my mouth that i tell my story with

to create the limbs that i walk tall with

I am a girl respect me,

admire my body, tell me i'm beautiful even when i don't feel like it.

admire the birth marks on my face

admire the pigment of my skin

admire the color nail polish that i use on my nails and toes

admire the tears i shed when i feel alone

admire my soul and how its growing old

admire my body don't abuse it so you can get some type of amusement from it.

I am a girl respect me.
