The Road's Trees

Location

The long road called me.

Trees fallen over in my path;

Leaving me to climb over them.

Falling into piles of leaves.

It's so many I can't see the end.

The pain in my legs is unbearable.

This life is leaving my soul empty.

The people out there have families, love, and noise.

Yet this road is lonely. I have no love. It's just the

Sound of my breathing and my feet hitting the ground.

These people caused me to do this.

Why do they want so much from me?

Why can't I be myself?

Why can't I chase my own dreams?

They can't live through me.

I am tired of it.

Now I see they just wanted better for me.

I realized there was light at the end of the road.

My body absorbed the power and knowledge.

It's possible to have people help you without losing yourself.

I can take into consideration what they say

But in my life I have the final say!
