They weren’t allowed to learn together
Use the same restroom.
They weren’t seen as equals, whatsoever.
But, this won’t always be their doom.

43-year-old Rosa Parks,
Refused to give a white man a rest.
Rosa in so embarks.
Alabama just made her arrest.

40000 on her side
With help of Jo Ann Robinson.
These actions were seen nationwide.
For a black will never be seen as an ottoman.

12-5-55 was a success
In empting the busses.
One man had to address
A nation that rushes.

He says” If we are wrong,
The Constitution of the United States is wrong”.
Boycotters walked and carpooled
Perfect on the days that were cool.

At last on December ’56,
Supreme Court said, “You may sit where you please”.
An easy fix.
In fact many people did disagree.

In the end all skins
Sit anywhere they want.
This new era begins,
With this new détente.
