Scream

They say

Children should be seen

Not heard

They say

Girls should be seen

Not heard

They forget

That the voices they silence

Are their greatest fears

And they pretend

That the spirits they hide

Are nothing to them

Until the voices sound

And the spirits show

And they realize

That they needed to let them speak

Because after hiding the words

For so long

The voices

Must

Scream
