Sea Place/Dark Place

Wed, 10/25/2017 - 00:17 -- leosalo

Love can be similar to the midnight zone,
A dark place where no sunlight reaches,
Carnivorous sea life lurks there,
And survival is the most important thing.

There was a point,

When I was a small fish in the midnight zone.

A gulper eel came and took a bite out of me.

Slowly I drifted away from the sunless place.

Out in open waters I was a cuttlefish.

Always changing colors to survive,

To blend in,

To not get hurt again.

Slowly I started to feel more like a lionfish,

beautiful in looks but deadly in sting.
