To See A Person Break Inside

The pain hides behind the eyes,

Which cannot hold a lie.

The tears start to tumble,

And the person begins to crumble,

When a person breaks inside.

They try to hold themselves high,

And all they want is to die.

Because in the moment of internal rumble,

They who watch will soon mumble,

When they see a person break inside.

The world begins to quake,

But only their body seems to shake.

The words fall off of their tongue,

And the only thing left fighting is their lungs,

When a person breaks inside.

They now seem to wake,

Like they just drowned in a lake.

Because of the moment they shared among,

They who watch see what they've become,

When they see a person break inside.
