Self serving ... satire

James 3:16

16 For where there is jealousy and selfishness,

there is disorder and every evil practice.

Satire: self-serving

In search of serving The Lord one gazes across the borders

The need that appears right then grasps by the heart

Oh! All that misery: the pain, sickness and hunger

Appears to us so clearly that we hunger to depart

On the way to the airport or boat we simply close our eyes

We pass hospitals and jails and the forgotten homeless

We never perceive the mission in our own backyard

“Long live the Longing” to serve God in every moment

“They have eyes that don’t see” written for someone else

“And ears that can’t perceive” the voices of all others

I am feeling fine as I go and serve angels and self

In a land that I don’t know and as for here who bothers

Take care of what I leave behind as you can handle it

I will follow my notion wherever I want it to lead

We will make a great team and pray for one another

Thank you very much and I wish you God’s speed
