From the bus to the streets,
People of color were limited to meet.
Separate but equal,
She wanted to idle.
Rosa Parks,
Took up a start,
She took a stand,
She dared to raise a hand.
She sat in front,
Where no coloreds go.
This bus fiasco,
Happened long ago,
But known around the world,
For it hurled,
The blacks rights into perspectives,
And finally gives,
A push in the direction,
Of taking action.
Separate but equal,
Was only the start of the evil.
She conquered the hurdle,
Of the dreadful,
Start of the civil rights movement,
Now she stands as ardent,
Of what bravery gets you.

I really think that African American rights was a huge step in our country. She helped it start it off, showing that they can do what white people do, and not be separated. She inspired so many to speak up after her. She was a true hero. One that helped our country get to how it is today.
