Shattered Love

Passion is desire,
Strong and heated power,
A emotional high,
From which one will one day fall.

Blame is the fall,
From which springs the pain,
The black and blue that dots the skin,
Barely concealed from the rest of the world.

Regret is the chains.
Because no matter what harm comes to the body,
The promise of love and change
Remains a temptation to hope in the heart and soul.

Love is not short Passion;
Love is not full of Blame;
Love is not the suffocating Regret and its broken promises.

Love is acceptance, friendship, sacrifices, and compromises,
From which happiness and joy dwells,
Not the constant cycles of doubt and pain,
But love is not with you.
