She Flies

She never planned to end up just like her
A flashback picture that ends up in a blur
mistaking blackouts that always seem to occur
the vast of her breath smelling like liquor.
She promised herself to follow the  right road
to not be the one to carry a large load
to not be known as a another zip code
and not having her heart always being sewed.
but she follows the pipe to the mother land
and sells her love to another man
drunken offense as its hard to stand
No one is there to hold her hand.
she lives in the cold, as tears seems to fall
as two of her eggs still seem to crawl
she fights and fights because she can't bear it all
when she tries to run, she's hit by a wall.
hair falling out, teeth white to black
eye smashed in, skin torn and cracked
every night being robbed and attacked
this is her life gone off track.
she promised her mother, but it was broken by 18
losing her virginity by the age  of 15
smoking her first joint at the age of 16
she said it was carried from her mother genes.
but this is the interception of how life can be
this was her life since the age of 3
when her mother was just a pound for free
as she was in the corner and always had to see.
but now shes free, as she flies to kingdom come
where everything she was feeling is all numb
a place where she can sleep instead of run
an imprint of who she is under her right thumb.
her mistakes are erased
her life is not a waste
she is not a disgraced
and she is saved where she's placed
Through a light she goes to the Promise Land
and heals her heart by a loving man
a saving grace as for she can stand
as Jesus is there to hold her hand.
