SHOOTING STAR

Today I am, Tomorrow I am not
What am I, the world wonders
Just like a movie, my story is cut
Gone, they think I am, where is he?, they ponder

Particles of life, particles of death
Cling all around me, parasites!
As I drift through the waves of life
Today I am here, Tomorrow I am there

A rare spectacle, the world predicts my arrival
As glorious as I come, death seems to be my rival
Friends I make not, life too short for that
Each time I fall in love, my heart is pierced with a dart
Cupids dart, I want
But today I am, tomorrow I am not.

Laws of physics broken, just like pieces of my heart
Fast I move through life, with particles all round me
Am just a SHOOTING STAR
I am not here to stay
Because Today I am, Tomorrow I am not.
