Silly May

You were bottomless,

in a cave, at the shoe store,

you were headless, at bay,

silly May, at the market,

babe, you weren't skin

deep, twisting feet, blanket

of dark, uncovered bird,

flown out of the bath,

splitting out of the nest,

and without a lesson to be

learned, you are without

wires, wired simply to

your heart, be crazed!

the wired lady, in the

market May,

a clueless shinning ray,

we've hardly seen you.

gone away.

functionally frayed,

on a sunny day.
