A Sinking Feeling

A beautiful catastrophe

My life a beautiful catastrophe

This world was meant to protect me

This world was meant to care

This world betrayed me

Solid white frosty landscapes turn blue

Bright green giants become brown from exposure

We tried to warn you

We tried to predict what would happen

We tried to save our mother

You destroyed her

We could have protected everyone

We wanted to live

We wanted to have our world for eons

We warned you

We now have to say sorry to our children

Born and unborn we will all pay for what you have done

This world was meant to protect us

You made it betray us.
