Someday We Shall Stand Together

Society has loved and hated
The world is kind yet it is cruel
Humanity has wronged, you have wronged humanity
Racism, Sexism, and the intolerance of religion
Race mattered, sex mattered, and religion mattered
So many battles, so many fights, for a freedom
Society is changing, you are changing
Fighting for so long-the greatest of humanity has understood the pain-
Someday all religion will stand together without eternal damnation

“We have no right to prejudice another in his civil enjoyments because he is of another church”
–Thomas Jefferson

Someday both sexes shall stand together and realize that we are equally strong

“All through life there were distinctions - toilets for men, toilets for women; clothes for men, clothes for women - then, at the end, the graves are identical.” ― Leila Aboulela, Minaret

Someday all races will come together and rejoice in are differences

One day we will all come together and love for it is good for the soul

“I have decided to stick to love...hate is too great a burden to bear”
-Martin Luther king

We have learned from our mistakes
We have fought over them
With rights freedoms were gained
We are so close to equality...
