For years blacks was mistreated
Wondering when there'll be a time where they can believe in
Then out came something in 1909
Which promoted black equality and equal rights
5 little letters made its name
So powerful, it had no shame
Men and woman standing proudly together
Holding hands hoping things would get better
As years rolled by Naacp made a change
Bills and laws being passed giving blacks a name
God gave us a Moses like Israel
Finally blacks and whites going to school together
Naacp helped blacks tremendously
Now we all have something to belong to
Life and liberty
