Sonnet of Loneliness

Location

As I walked on a busy street,

Side by side with random people

Seeing variety of souls when eyes meet

I see joy, love, hatred and trouble

Across the street I see an old lady

Seeming like she lives because she’s alive

Seeing her soul that says her history

The eyes that speaks of how she strived

A young boy in teary eyes while licking his icecream

However his mother ignored while chatting on her iphone

How ironic life can be when loneliness can’t scream

It tends to hide and ends up like a drone

It’s funny how loneliness is unnoticed in tons of way

Until somebody decides to end one’s chance to live in a day…
