Sorry

I am sorry

For anything I might have done wrong

For any song that has gone unsong

Or any walls that might have been built

I never meant to hurt you

It’s killing me with guilt

To know I might have make you cry

On some lonely night

With the rain falling just right

It’s cold in your room

With your blankets up to your face

like a mummy in a tomb

The smile on your face

now washed away

By me.

I wish I could change the past

Take a couple of steps back

And change the things I said or did

That made you feel sad and abandoned

It was never my intention

But you have shown me

That I am just that kind of person

Someone who uses people and leaves them when I am done

It’s a habit I must have picked up

Moons ago

And now has stuck with me

And caused me to make the mistakes I have made

Like causing your soda like bubbly attitude

To fade away

Thanks to me.

So If you are reading this

Somehow, some place

Just know I ever-so dearly wish to see the smile

I once washed off your face

I have changed a lot

I have mended my ways

I have seen the light

And have decided to stay

Please give me a chance

To plea my case

I love you

My darling Faith.
