Speakerboxxxx

Have you ever heard a song that expresses your self

Have you ever heard a song that

Expresses another person

Have you ever heard a song

Have you ever heard

Speakerboxes playing over

And over again like if a sweet song was on repeat

That song that moves trough your body making you want to dance

That song that sends chills through your back

See my speaker box kept playing that melody

Until i just shut it off

I nor anyone else could

Hear that rhythmic beat

In and out of there bones

I shut it off because I was insecure

About my song

I was worried my speaker box people have already seen

I was worried my song has been heard

But then I take a look around

And most people have there speaker box on low or off

And I ask myself how are people

Going to hear your sweet song

When you are afraid to use it

God gave you a speaker box

To use for your own good

See my song was that song

That got you up and motivated

My song was the one that

Overrides discrimination

My song was the one that let

Every single woman know that they are beautiful

My song was the song that brought people together

Let me hear your song

My song was the double bass drum pedal

Ringing out causing people to jump along

And scream loud

My song was the one that brought together

Complete strangers and turned them into

Brothers and sisters bonded by my music

Let that song make you feel good inside

Let your song be recognized

By every single person

So that when you walk into

A room people know who you are

Let me hear your song

My song was one that makes a change

Could make people see the truth

And change perspectives all in one

A song that can join hands

Of opposite sides and make peace

Let that song make you feel good inside

Let your song be recognized

Dr Martin Luther king

Played his song and people

Seen his speaker box as a different color

Let me hear your song

My song is the sound of spare

Change dropped into the soft hands

Of a homeless man

The voice of a tree wishing

To meet his brother across the street

The nose breathing on a neck

Leaving warmth on her skin

Being the Lord of Missrule

Every day of the year

Let that song make you feel good inside

Let your song be recognized

Use your speaker box

Some people don't have them

Some people have them but do not use them

Some people use them but do not correctly

And some people use them correctly

But they are the people we just don't like

Use your speaker box

As your tool to become your own

This is for all that cannot voice their own opinion

This is for those who need a voice

As an individual you need to have a voice in

Order to be heard

If you aren't heard you are a nobody

Use your speaker box

Even though it's blown out

Use your speaker box

Even though people doubt you

Use your speaker box

Even though people have heard that same song millions of times

Use your speakerbox

Speak up and let people

Hear that beautiful voice child

Let people know who you are and what you speak of

Let people know that your voice is not a meaningless tool

Let people know that you can overcome battles

Just speak. Up

 Let me hear your song
