Stand Down

Fake men afraid to have real conversations

Adverse persuasion

Scared of world view revelations

So the same hatin' going down in police stations

Meanwhile an oblivious nation celebrates everyday like a fucking vacation

White privilege with never ending satiation

So they don’t give a fuck about the situation

Change still waitin'

Relations with these pussy cops is synonymous with damnation

Like the only way to save them is to hide 'em in the fucking basement

Inglorious bastards, the analogy I’m making

Maybe now you’ll understand what I’m saying

Contemplating about these men and women praying

About their children out here in these parks playing

Problems staring us directly in the faces

Different races can’t share the same spaces

So now we’re faced with acquitted murder cases

And just when we think we’re above it

Another mother’s son dies from it

This poem is about:
My country
