My name Rosa Parks and I'm here to tell my story
About this boycott that happened in Montgomery
I got on the bus because I was really, really beat
And this white man told me to get out of his seat

I told him “Man you don’t want no beef”
So then he got a phone and called the police
They got me off the bus and I did some jail time
After I got out I had to pay a fine

Then I met a man named Dr. King
And he said he would support my thing
We thought about it all day in silence
And he said “Let’s fight, but not with violence”

Civil Rights are what we all need
We have them so we can succeed
But back then it wasn’t like that
They made African Americans sit in the back
Everyone protesting and trying to help
Them prejudice policemen just thought of themselves
So, NO we are not going fight,
But we better get our CIVIL RIGHTS!
