Strong and Free
I thought no one loved me,
grew up silently crying,
screaming,
for help in the endless void
of desperation.
"Save me"
Covered everything,
with smiles and sleeves
that could not cover
the tears of my soul;
the wound in my heart
"Save me"
No one did, so I did.
I fought through adversity,
through your neglect,
through scraps we lived off of
and through frustration,
pain,
fear.
"Save me"
No longer a girl to beat down;
I stood, unafraid.
Unrestrained.
I broke free from chains.
I'm not worthless;
Fortis et Liber
I am saved.
