You're a strong young woman. You know you are.
He's just some jerk in class that always has to have the last say.
But there's something about his wit and attitude that you like.
You know it's dangerous.
He wants to get to know you he says.
Countless texts and a few pictures.
Don't cave in like that.
You're a strong young woman. You know you are.
He convinces you to go to homecoming with him.
The dance is great but he says he wants to take you somewhere.
You know this is bad but you agree anyway.
You trust him. Right?
He takes you to the lake. He kisses you.
Kisses so soft and sweet.
You feel wanted for the first time.
He is persuasive.
You know better.
You're a strong young woman. You know you are.
Eventually he wins. He gets you. All of you.
He's relived. You're nervous.
A couple months pass. He doesn't speak to you.
You know something is wrong. You're late.
You have to tell him but you don't know how.
You're a strong young woman. You know you are.
He freaks out. Leaves.
You're there all alone. All because you gave up your pride.
For some jerk on the football team.
He's not there for you.
No one is there for you.
But you're still a strong young woman. You are.
