The Struggles

Tue, 03/12/2013 - 14:34 -- Chadizl

Sweaty hands, pacing heart
The struggles of everyday life
It took one to sit
To make a stand
She knew the consequences
But had no idea what she was apart of
This was a struggle of many
She sat for her freedoms
The bus was stopped and would not budge
Until she stood up and gave away her seat
In Montgomery, Alabama something big had started
She stood for many years on that one time
When she refused to give away her freedom

I created this poem to represent everything Rosa Parks did for the future citizens of the Unites States so everyone had a equal chance and was treated as a equal.
