when is it ever the right time
when it’s too late
when we can’t take things back
when life seems to be all wrong

where do we turn from there
who is going to break the fall
who’s going to help pick up the pieces

look who's talking
you have the same problem
the same train of thought
you never knew what to do with yourself
instead you just wait around for someone to come along

someone who was going to hand you all the things that you will need in life
someone to make everything easier
someone to tell you what to do
more importantly to do it all for you

well guess what life is not that easy
no one is standing on the sidelines waiting around
no one is going to come up to you and give you everything
and be rest assured that no one is going to go out of their way to make you something special

you have to work hard at what and who you are
it’s called life
whether or not you like it
it’s a game that we all have to play
some people will get the upper hand
and others are left to scrounge up what’s left lying around

it’s a one man for all kind of game
the best will make it out alive
those who stand around waiting for someone to help them will get trampled in the end
