Sweet Sandy

I was afraid, I was amazed.

Amazed to breathe again, amazed to feel again, amazed to dream again. Dreams were halted by sleepless nights and disappointments.

Sleepless nights were brought on by broken promises and deceit. Deceit from a dark soul child, oh how her sweet whispers turned from the last performance of the black swain in ballet to a woman in despair who just birthed Sandy.

Sandy oh what a sweet name they say. Oh sandy is so harmless they say. Oh Sandy she's nothing special they say.

Oh sandy killed our families today, Oh Sandy's silence broke and she rushed her flood waters in as she made tears roll down my face. Oh Sandy took my breathe away, Sandy, Sandy, Oh Sandy, you killed my heart, stabbed my soul and you weren't even charged with a misdemeanor.

miss then oh I mean her, I mean she, I mean we, I meant us, I meant trust, I meant lust, I meant just love me and touch me, show me that you're different, just show me that your real, just show me that you'll melt a heart that'a now made of steel an nobody will be able to peel.

Make it beat again, make it feel again, make me me again. I just want to feel again, breathe again, I just want the rain to end. Let's meet again, let's love again, let the light shine and the pain end, end the insecurities, end the sleepless nights and nightmares, night ends to you falling deeply into my deepest river as you cast your fishing line into my mind.
