Swimming
Swimming Against the current,
Gasping for Equality,
Drowning in suppression-
The lesser they make of me.
Many blinded by Color,
In raging rapids of Prejudice,
Abuse they name Justice,
Sealed with Ignorance's kiss.
Voices cry beneath the waves,
Reaching out for a hand,
We must turn the tides,
For-only together-we reach land.
