Take another Look

When you take a closer look at me
As, I take a closer look at you.
We look the same
We both like the same sports.
Think Vivian from math class is cute,
But somehow were so different
Or that’s what our society tells us
And even though when we stand side by side we may appear different

We aren’t.

The color our skin is not the problem
The problem is, us.
We believe the stereotypes
The primetime broadcaster
That tells us were are different

For us to be equal
We must forge ideals
And believe
We are not different
