Take A Stand

I tried not to be political. It gives me a headache.I mean, what’s in it for me?Do I get a prize,Or will it lead to my social demise? I tried not to be political.I saw all the panels on tvFighting over which candidate is right for me and my country.Who care anyway? I tried not to be political. Then this guy caught my eyeWith wild straw-like hairWho, to me, said things that wasn't fair.I tried to ignore it. I tried not to be political. But I couldn't shake the mocking of the reporter out of my head.It disrupted my moral order. Usually I stand back and watchBut now my chest was hotWith fury and anger. Vote Hillary! I'm with her!We can't elect this bully entrepreneur. Although she didn't win, I took a stand.I really felt like an American.I tried not to be political, but 2017 Will be more difficult.
