Then and Now, You and Them

Do you see them now?
Seem happy and old.
Search their eyes,
Their anguish and pain.

Do you see yourself?
So whiney and selfish.
See the difference?
That huge gap, the subtle difference.

They worked so hard,
To be equals, to be the same.
We sit here, simply listen and hear
But when will we, instead do.

The world is different now,
Its everywhere, se we all,
As one, as equals:
White, black, colored
Male or female,
Gay, straight, bi,
Need to make equality for all.
