They Say

They say we are equal.

Why the bullying?
Do you think it's fun?
Is it satisfying?
The way you treat them?

They say we are equal.

Religion teaches us a different way.
If you are not like me,
Then you cannot play,
With the people like us.

They say we are equal.

But if we are one,
Why the hurt?
Who is done,
With all of this war?

They say we are equal.

Don't you hear that?
The voices back there?
I's like a rat,
Digging in your head.

They say we are equal.

That is good, this is bad.
We don't try to hide.
Why is everyone mad?
All we want is acceptance.

They say we are equal.

Just yell out.
Tell them what you think.
Scream and shout.
Express how you feel.

They say we are equal.

Then why the hurt?
Why the pain?
You treat us like dirt,
On the ground you walk on.

They say we are equal.

But they lie.
