Think

Emotion so strong I have to show it,

thoughts so deep they must be seen.

I know they are staring

I can feel their stares on my back.

They laugh at my openness

and cringe at my uncontrollable thoughts.

I wish they wouldn’t talk about me,

maybe they wouldn’t see these horrible things.

It’s not fair how they can live in joy

but I live in the dark with no one to love.

I can’t control my thoughts

I just wish they understood,

It’s the only way I can communicate with them.

It would be simpler to live in solitude,

than deal with their harsh looks.

I wish the dark would swallow me whole

then maybe they’d understand my pain.

Just because I’m different

doesn’t mean I’m lesser.

Just because I’m strange

doesn’t mean a target.

I am a victim of the world

and I want you all to know

that no one deserves your hate.

There is no excuse to harm someone

with words or fight.

Think before you act and never,

never let your judgment hurt someone else,

because you’ll never know until it’s too late.

And for me it’s all because I have

a window for a face.
