To Those Who are Like Me

A letter to those who are like me.

If you've ever felt you're someone you didn't want to be,

Who make resolutions every global revolution

Just to fail miserably.

If you've ever lost a friend

It feels like the end, and you can't contend

With the lonliness you can't mend.

If you've ever poured your heart into a thing that you've made

And it's utterly pointless

And you feel betrayed-

If you've given up

If you're giving out

If you've given all

Remember:

There is hope

There is recovery

There is freedom

I know this because we're the same;

Because you're like me.
