Thunder Thighs
The freedom I feel
knowing I can run,
and dance,
and jump
in any motion I so desire,
offers a grand contribution
to the joy I feel inside;
The bruised
scarred,
sturdy,
strong
towers of muscle and bone I call my legs
show all the times I've silenced my conscience,
exceeded their limits,
made my soul happy,
and I take humble pride in these showings;
Only few things attribute to my joy
are independent from my legs,
and no substitute could ever
grant me the same freedom,
and joy
my lower limbs allow to me
everyday.
