They all knew,
this hate would not last forever,
and they fought with bright eyes looking to the future,
then like the last ray of sunlight in the day,
the future came plowing though the ignorance and shame,
and today we live together,
clinging to each other knowing such pain could never be healed,
we all love and feel and remember those who fell,
thank them for the way life is today,
together we can overcome,
we live in equality, harmony, and are filled with hope,
we are the descendants of warriors filled with strength and knowledge!
