Tortoise and The Hare ( With a Twist)

Tortoise and the Hare

Once Upon a Time

In world were animals talked

And walked with a purpose

Lived a cocky Tortoise and a cocky Hare

They always bickered and always raced

Sometimes the Hare won and the crowd roared

Other times the Tortoise won and the birds soared

The excitement built up so much bets were going in

On who would win

Until a faitful day

Their rivalry went to far as the Hare told the tortoise

To race at a pace up a hill where you can only win by God’s Grace

The Hill was a sacred Hill that no animal never fulfilled

Down the hill were an elderly Fox told no

You go down and you’ll never come back around

The Tortoise and the Hare were too cocky and ignored

They heard the countdown to run

And the Hare and the Tortoise dashed off

However, their cockiness took them to a bad ending

As they ran further and further down the hill

A fog came until they disappeared

And that was the last time the animals seen the Tortoise and the Hare

There cockiness ended in despair

The lesson here is to never be cocky

Because it can end in a bad tragedy
