The Truth about Rumpelstiltskin

So, we’ve all heard the story of that guy Rumpelstiltskin,

The small greedy man who was creepy and insane.

He helped the Queen in exchange for her money and baby.

We say he’s evil, but did he really deserve that blame?

The story makes it seem like he wants the child for a tasty meal,

But Mr. Rumpelstiltskin would very much disagree.

He wanted the babe for a completely different reason,

To help him hold onto a special memory.

See Rumpelstiltskin had a daughter,

Back in the olden days.

But they began to go a bit broke,

So he found a wife that pays.

But she was pure mean, evil, wicked,

And had two daughters to match.

They despised his lovely daughter,

Who was quite the catch.

So they tormented and worked her,

He had to pretend to be unaware.

For without his terrible wife’s precious money.

They would be so broke that he couldn’t bare.

The wife and and the two girls grew jealous,

his daughter unnoticably got attention from all the fellas.

So the wife threatened Rumpelstiltskin that’d she would leave,

Unless he got rid of his daughter, Cinderella.

However, he loved his child so much,

He said he would do anything else for his evil wife.

She said that instead he must go away,

And Cinderella would be her servant for life.

So Rumpelstiltskin packed up his things,

He told his daughter a lie, “I’ll be back”.

So now you see why he wanted a new child,

As a memory, not as a snack.

But, maybe I’m wrong,

And he wasn’t misunderstood or dealing with his pain.

Maybe Rumpelstilitskin

Was just simply creepy and insane.
