As we look towards the future. As we try to teach our youth.
If we want a stronger community, we must first show them the truth.
The truth about the past, the truth that many hide.
The truth that caused so much pain to those who are by our side.
Just because someone looks different, they were abused and treated wrong.
And the sad truth about it, is this abuse is still going on.
So please tell me mister, why do say?
"We need a better future". But then you act this way.
If the future is your concern. And you want to make things right.
Then stop teaching hatred and let's join together for this fight.
A fight for a better tomorrow, for safer streets, and better schools.
A fight that will bring us all together and not make us look like fools.
The truth is we are not different because of our skin and race.
We are actually just alike, were all in a global chase.
Peace, safety, a better home, jobs, and a happy life.
In order to achieve this, we must end this useless strife.
