Do we ever take the time to consider?

How, someway, we ended up in this place

The greater part of the world is bitter,

While we seem to stand still at our own pace.

We went through our lives believing in this

Praying we’d hold on for just another day

Amidst the destination a blinding abyss

While searching for it, did we become prey?

Innocent listen to the sea of green

Did we forget how to think for ourselves

After every horror that we have seen,

Its as if we put our morals on shelves

This was forgotten but now we must recall.

Who we are, or else the world will fall.
