The Unborn

Location

You told me your secret,

I told you it was wrong.

You acted like nothing had happened,

I acted like my world had stopped.

You said you had an appointment, but didn't go,

I said you should have.

You couldn't handle her,

I couldn't handle you.

You went out that night,

I went home.

You drank alcohol and took pills,

I drank water and made a meal.

You said it didn't matter, the burden was gone,

I said it lives in memory.

You said it never was,

I said it was and will be.

You thought the past was over,

I thought about your future.

You think about her still,

I think about you.

She might be gone,

You still live for her.
