Unity

Sat, 03/30/2013 - 14:30 -- lrh2015

You fought for peace
yet we hate.
Thinking of you as a beast
we didn't think about our fate.

King Jr., Rosa Parks,
Mr. Robinson, Correta Scott,
we saw you as dark.
You thought we could be taught.

You were a stepping stone
on our way to unity.
I wish we would have known,
you were trying to make one community.

You proclaimed civil rights,
as we now see.
We now see you fight
in 2013.

We all sit together,
does not matter the race.
We proclaim unity forever
through each and every face.
