Is a utopia achievable?
Surely it is not inconceivable.
Humans are meant to live in unity, together
Yet we can’t seem to stand each other.

Never can we seem to forget the color of skin
Even though discriminating is a sin.
Victims of hate crimes that are now dead
Their lives were only filled with dread.

We dehumanize and ostracize
Never do we sympathize.
All of our freedoms and rights in life
Seem to have been replaced with hate and strife.

Humanity’s closed heart and closed mind
Many of us are left predefined.
Each judgment is a blow
How will society ever grow?

Our world, is it justified?
One in which we face moral genocide?
We live in a world that is no longer perfect
All that is left is neglect and disrespect.
